SFS Directory (WIP)

This will probably never be done...

I did my best, this is a slow annoying process and if you want to try to do better go for it. No bitching about mistakes!

As far as I can tell, these links are only for Sims4. If you find anything on here that isn't Sims4 please let me know which one(s) are wrong. I tried to include links that say they're poses which I don't use so those are the most likely to be wrong

I ignored anything that looked like a sim/household/lot or obviously outdated mods, though I know a few snuck in

Occasionally I accidentally closed out the page before getting the information and then when I go back it just downloads it without loading the page, so there are some missing bits, if you want to help you could send me a message with the missing info

These are obviously all going to fall into a few different categories...
but this is primarily for people to search for the links to specific items that the links are lost to the void or specific items that are stuck behind ad.fly links...
I cannot possible know which they are from this method. If you are a creator who would like me to remove a link to your downloads for any reason OTHER than ad.fly please let me know which ones are yours. If you want to remove your link that is normally hidden behind the GARBAGE that is ad.fly I will still move it but I think you should reconsider using ad.fly it is terrible and virus filled

To have me remove your links DM me a list of which items are yours with a polite message and a link to your website so I can check it out :)

Uploaded date is only original date, I didn't check which have been updated. I make no claims on ownership of anything. Download/use at your own risk. Content could be broken, tampered with, or of an adult or violent nature. Let me know if it's broken or dangerous, but please just move on if it's not to your taste.

also if it's not what I wrote it is, try checking the numbers above and below. I am trying to be careful but I am sure a mistake or two will creep in with the alignment (sequentially, not necessarily on this list)

If anyone wants to help let me know and we can work in sections. It is slow and tedious, but my spreadsheet helps me keep track.

Progress: (not necessarily the newest copy linked yet)
Full days finished: 3
Links tried: 3105+
Links found: 480+
Days outlined 18+

(because of the moving around the list the numbers can't be easily counted accurately, so the number is how many I know of for sure and the + is the rest)

The pages are broken down to lists of 250,000 links, but all the numbers have been dragged out so that the list more than covers the current date (and should last a few days still!)
The first page will be dealt with in the next update (it will, I fixed it)
The enormity of what is there for data is making the file load slow, you might need to be patient. I am looking into ways to solve that but am currently unsure how.

I started with a link to the first SFS upload, then used the drag method in a spreadsheet to generate the rest of the links... however the spreadsheet I am using doesn't make them links, and there isn't a way to batch turn them into links (that I am yet aware of. I learn new tricks every time I work on this) and so each link cell I am double clicking and adding a space which then activates the link. I do a bunch, click on all the links and see what I get. OOPS pages, and files that clearly state they are for S2 or S3 or say things like 2to3 I ignore. Names and obvious lots get ignored. And then I check usernames and if I know I have already tried a bunch of their files and none have been for S4 I ignore them too (obviously some creators probably eventually move on, but within that day or so I assume it's not too much of a mixed bag) Because the numbers are assigned in order, by clicking the links in order I am getting things that were uploaded around the same time... files that are definitely S4 (or at least probably based on creator) get the info copied to the list (the full title and upload size, and the username) the dates are mostly already filled in the way I am currently working (see next paragraph) all the ignored links get the rows deleted.

Things I am doing to make this smoother, in no particular order...
1) expanding the list of links. There are millions of files and the drag method takes a while. I did figure out a way to do more at once, but it's still slow.
2) starting at the beginning and checking all the links... I just go back to where I left off and do a few hundred. (which at least in early SFS days is only yeilding a handful of basic recolors for the most part)
3) separating dates. This is accomplished by skipping over a few dozen files and checking random links to see if I am still on the same date and then narrowing down where the line is. Every time I find that spot I add a blank line in between and then find the last S4 file of the day and the first for the next day. Documenting and deleting links as I go as called for. This make it look like a bit of randomness, but there is a plan here

So my intention is to get the link list long enough to cover the entire history of SFS, break up as many dates as possible, and get as many links as I can. I would also like to try to start the end of the list to get newer files, however first I have to get the dragging done.

Anyone who wants to do some (maybe you're looking for something or just bored) let me know what section you worked and what you found. OR even if you just battled ad.fly for far too long to get to a file. just give me the download number and I can add it into the right spot.

Also in case anyone is curious, this is done using Open Office which is a free download

(Not so) FAQ

Q: You know you won't ever finish this right?
A: Probably unless I get a bunch of help.

Q: Why?
A: There are some gorgeous "free" items hidden behind nasty invasive ad.fly links that I can't get through. I intend to find them, and while I *could* just find those by myself (I have done it a couple times) I think we could work together and enjoy more of them together.

Q: How do you know a S4 file from S3 or S2?
A: sometimes the file says, sometimes it's a folder with a mesh and 13 recolors, but the rest I double click which on my computer immediately tries to open in Sims4Studio. If it won't open or I can't tell what it is I know it's useless, and if loads in I know it's S4
